reverse osmosis installation Kajiado should be planned from a current water test, the amount of treated water required and the site conditions—not from machine capacity alone. Kajiado projects often serve homes, estates, schools, hospitality, farms and commercial premises where borehole water quality can be a key design input.
- Start with a representative feed-water analysis.
- Calculate treated litres per day before choosing litres per hour.
- Include pretreatment, storage, reject-water handling, electrical work and commissioning in the quotation.
- Use the reverse osmosis machine Kenya guide for the complete design process.
reverse osmosis installation Kajiado: what changes at this location
Do not assume that a clear-looking borehole only needs an RO skid. Hardness, salinity, fluoride, iron and other parameters can change pretreatment and operating strategy.
Water chemistry can vary within one county, so location is a planning clue rather than a substitute for testing. Borehole, municipal and delivered-water sources can require different pretreatment even at neighbouring sites.
How the RO system works
A feed pump moves pretreated water to a high-pressure pump, which drives it across semi-permeable membranes. The plant produces a treated-water stream and a reject stream. Pretreatment is selected to reduce membrane fouling or scaling risks identified by the water analysis.
| Stage | Site question |
|---|---|
| Feed water | What is the source and laboratory result? |
| Pretreatment | Are hardness, iron, sediment or other parameters significant? |
| RO plant | How many treated litres are needed per day? |
| Storage | Can a tank buffer peak demand? |
| Reject stream | Where will concentrate be responsibly handled? |
Current commercial RO capacities and equipment prices
Our current catalogue lists 250 L/h at KSh 350,000, 500 L/h at KSh 550,000, 1,000 L/h at KSh 850,000 and 2,000 L/h at KSh 1,500,000. These are equipment references; installation and pretreatment remain site-specific.

Who can use an RO system here?
- Homes and apartments needing point-of-use drinking water.
- Hotels, restaurants and offices.
- Schools, clinics and institutions.
- Factories, laundries and process users.

Installation checklist
- Test the source water.
- Define the treated-water use and quality target.
- Calculate daily demand and operating hours.
- Size raw and treated storage.
- Confirm pretreatment and RO capacity together.
- Plan drainage/reject handling and electrical supply.
- Commission and record baseline flow, pressure and product quality.
reverse osmosis installation Kajiado FAQs
Does every borehole here need RO?
No. Treatment should follow the laboratory result and intended use.
How much does an RO plant cost?
Our current commercial equipment starts at KSh 350,000 for 250 L/h, while complete installed pricing depends on pretreatment and site scope.
Can a 500 L/h plant serve a school, hotel or estate?
It can in some projects, but daily demand, operating hours and storage must be calculated first.
Is installation included in the machine price?
Do not assume so. Ask for tanks, pretreatment, pipework, electrical work, commissioning and transport to be itemised.
Can RO treat salty borehole water?
RO can reduce dissolved salts, but membrane duty, pressure and recovery must be designed from the actual salinity and full water analysis.
